This summer my kids and I adopted our intrepid tourer boots for a fly-drive with my kids, starting in LA and Hollywood, winding up the coast from Santa Monica, via Santa Barbara to Monterey and Pacific Grove (once the mayorship of Clint Eastwood) via Hearst’s castle at San Simeon, en route to San Francisco.  Then we trekked over to the delights (and the bears) at Yosemite National Park.

A flight off to Seattle, home of Micros..t, microbreweries and major league coffee shops, before driving up to Vancouver for a few days.  Finally we fly back to London, tired but happy! 🙂
